Transfer: Almaty - valley Medeo (14 km). Our way from city in valley Medeo conducts on the south on the central street of city - Dostyk, after boundary school is passed Spa centre «Luxor» which is to the right of road, then passed numerous cottages on both parties of road, further to the right of road, on turn on Kamensk the plateau is luxurious hotel “Roal Tulip”.
Further we pass construction an ecological post at which now will be new earmarking. Not reaching one kilometer up to valley Medeo, we turn to the right on road of the leader to former rest house Prosvechenets, here in vicinities of spring and houses of local residents we leave the machine and from here our walk to valley Kok-Zhailyau (5 km) begins.
We pass through the small river the Battery on road which passes among houses of local residents, at once behind houses rise on slope among birches and aspens begins. There is more flat rise on mountain ridge more to the right from our track, wishing can begin rise on more flat track.
In process of rise us the deciduous wood consisting of birches, aspens accompanies, with mountain ashes, wild apple-trees. Gradually the track gains height, the deciduous wood is replaced in Tien-Shan fur-tree among which there are huge pines. Gradually track flatten from the right party from a track surprising kinds to Almaty open, from height of our route in the south we see peak towering above local mountains Komsomol, more to the left, as on palm, the pass Big Talgar is well looked through.
Far below the valley Medeo with station Cable way is visible, on the east from valley Medeo the valley Kim-Asar is visible. The site of highway of the leader from valley Medeo in city is well visible. To the left of us the slope of mountain ridge which is a watershed between the rivers Gorelnik and the Battery lasts. We often stop to photograph neighboring kinds and panoramas of city Almaty.
Not reaching, approximately 600 - 700 meters up to pass the Kok-Zhailyau to the left of our track is visible the cascade of falls of the river Battery which originates from under northern slopes of peak Kumbel of 3260 meters above sea level. Soon we on pass the Kok-Zhailyau of 2150 meters above sea level, from here opens magnificent kind on the West on open spaces of valley the Kok-Zhailyau.
In the south on an eminence before top Kumbel there are three rocks which are named by Three brothers of 2900 meters above sea level, to the east from them top Kumbel towers. In the West there is plateau the Kok-Zhailyau on which track the leader in gorge of the river Kazachka. Which results on GES-2 in gorge Big Almaty. Here in the beginning the plateau the Kok-Zhailyau, from the left party, are two small tables for which it is possible to have lunch.
Walks in vicinities of pass the Kok-Zhailyau. Lunch. Returning in valley Prosveshchenets. Transfer to Almaty.
