Tour around Almaty reserve.

“Beauty is a manifestation of secret natural laws, which otherwise would have been hidden from us forever”

The hydrology of the Almaty reserve is developed very well. In the protected territory from the main ridge of Zailiysky Ala-Tau several powerful ridges which are watersheds of the rivers branch off. The rivers of the territory most abounding in water of the reserve - Southeast, Left, Average and Right Talgars, and also Issyk and South Issyk.
With rather small depth (to 1 meter) and width (from 5 to 10 meters) their rapid current is caused by big height difference. Energy of water is so big that monolithic rocks grind off, split up and milled in sand, conceding a way to a powerful impact of water.
The storming mass of water with a roar rushes down, entraining huge stone boulders, sometimes takes down concrete engineering constructions of the person (Dzhanyspayev, 2006). All main rivers have snow and glacial food of the rivers with spring and summer floods.
Rivers and majority of inflows torrential danger. Water in the rivers the most part of year pure, during the periods of floods and rainfall muddy with a large number of ground deposits. Water fresh and ultrafresh (content of salts from 100 to 150 milligrams on liter, soft and very soft, hydrocarbonate and calcic.
