Minarets of Registan.
The minarets of Tilla-Kory madrasah are outwardly different from other minarets of the Registan architectural complex and have the classic name “Guldasta”. They are located on the portal side preserved in a classic form.
The inscription in Arabic is available only on one located to the left of the main portal. This is the 255th verse of the al-Bakar sura - Ayatal Kursi.
“Allah is no deity except Him, Living and self-existent eternally, - neither sleep nor drowns Him, He owns the Earth and the sky alone. Who can stand before Him without His will? He knows all that His creatures have experienced, And that which follows them comes, And He is appointed from His Wisdom to know only what He will permit.
He exalts his throne to earth and heaven - not in protection to them. In His power He is great and (to the highest degree) exalted. ” The minarets of the ensemble Registan are not only an example of classical medieval architecture, they are considered symbols of the expression of Islamic culture.
