Cliffs of valley Akzhar.
Wildlife Tours to Karaganda region.
“It is untrue that equality is a law of nature. Nature has no equality; its sovereign law is subordination and dependence”
Luc de Clapiers de Vauvenargues.
Flower Tours to Ulytau district.
Cliffs of the Akzhar valley are located at an altitude of 324 in the south to 268.9 meters above sea level in the northern part, located 20 kilometers to the east from the Zhylynshyk Turme hill, 18 kilometers to the west from the small village of Mayatas, 30 kilometers to the south and a little east of the village of Ekidin as part of the city administration of the town of Arkalyk in the south of the Kostanay region.
The distance from the village of Ulytau, which is located in the Ulytau district of the region of the same name, to the southern cliffs of the Akzhar valley along the road is 130 kilometers. The distance from the village of Korgasyn along the steppe road to the southern cliffs of Akzhar is 40 kilometers.
Cliffs Akzhar stretch for 32 kilometers along the right (eastern) bank of the Sary-Turgai River, from southeast to northwest and north. The southern border of the valley is the mouth of the winding bed of the Terisbulak River, which is the right tributary of the Sary-Turgai.
The northern border of the tract is the Arykbaksy ravine, which adjoins the Sary-Turgai River on the right side. The central part of the Akzhar chinks is located between the Sary-Turgaya and Kara-Turgaya rivers.
The landmark of the central part of the cliffs is the Sarybas winter road and the necropolis on which the Shon bi mausoleum is located, located next to each other on the left bank of the Sary-Turgay, from them to the central cliffs 3.2 kilometers to the northwest.
In the southeastern part of the tract there is Mount Akzhal, 367 meters above sea level. The relief of the valley is varied, composed of hills, ravines, small closed canyons consisting of multi-colored clays. Smoothed and sloping, shallow ravines run down from the tops of the hills, which were formed in the process of weathering and erosion of the soil.
The predominant rocks of Akzhar are colored clays, fine-grained sands and sandstones, the underlying rocks are coarse-grained red sandstone and, in places, shale. On the hills there are scatterings of white to brown gypsum roses; small pieces of petrified wood are rarely found on the scatterings located near the multi-colored hills.
Small cliffs of the tract are cut through by logs, which serve as a descent from the hill to the Sary-Turgai valley. The loose clays of the Akzhar tract become soft from snow and rainwater and are easily washed away; the steep slopes of the valley are susceptible to landslides, which have been observed in many places.
Cliffs Akzhara amazes with its unique and non-repetitive colors; these colored clays are many millions of years old; long ago the ocean splashed here. Akzhar concentrated greatness and at the same time lifelessness.
The vegetation here is rare, not numerous, represented by feather grass, Tatarian rhubarb, Kazakh red salsify, rare bushes of meadowsweet spirea, and very rarely broomrape. In small, moist ravines with a northern exposure, rare flowering plants are found in April and May: Schrenck's tulip, hazel grouse, astragalus and blue geranium.
From spring to autumn, the truncated barnacle is pleasing to the eye. The period of flowering and growth is not long - heat and lack of moisture. The Akzhar tract consists of layers of sedimentary rocks with magnificent shapes and different colors of the soil.
At sunrise, incredible and unique views of the surrounding area open up. The fauna is represented by a rare kestrel, a wheatear, an abundance of saiga tracks, rare tracks of a wild boar, and a fox. There are smooth lizards, steppe vipers, and rare gopher burrows.
Near the rarely visited natural attraction of the Akzhar tract, there is no tourist infrastructure, no garbage has been noticed, and there are no wells or sources of drinking water.
