Darbaza (gate) in the village of Karnak is located on the former Telman Street 34, subordinate to the administration town Kentau Turkestan region. An architectural structure that forms the main entrance to the courtyard of a residential building.
The flat floor rests on the mud walls, forming a long covered corridor. The entrance is decorated with a portico from the street. Traditional columns support cantilever beams; high sufas are arranged on both sides. The upper panels of the 2-wing gate are decorated with openwork thread.
It was a common element of residential architecture in the south of Kazakhstan.
