550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate.

The archaeological excavations that began in 2011 at the site of an ancient settlement gave unique artifacts to the two thousand year history of the region. According to scientists, here under the thickness of asphalt lies an ancient city, whose age is at least two thousand years.
For several years, there have been full-scale archaeological excavations of the ancient city of Taraz. During this time, archaeologists have already discovered about 50,000 artifacts of the VI - XII centuries, a medieval citadel, a mosque of the VIII - IX centuries, a madrasah, an altar of fire worshipers, Zindan, the embankment of the ancient river bed of the Talas River, the foundations of residential buildings.
A viewing tower, an ethnocultural center with the House of Friendship and a congress hall, the Taraz Sazdary stele, the Mynbulak square, and the museum building, which contains exhibits found during archaeological work in the Taraz fortress, are located on 20 hectares.
Among the found artifacts are many richly ornamented, with hand-made sculpting, ceramic utensils, there are items made of gold, glass, metal, coins, ceramic items, an ancient water supply system made of ceramic pipes and other medieval items.
Orientalists from the St. Petersburg Hermitage who worked here praised the artifacts found in such a huge amount of time. During the celebrations of the celebration of the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate (2015).
On the site of the former Central Market in Taraz, where archaeological excavations of the ancient settlement are still underway, the archaeological park "Ancient Taraz" was opened. It is expected that the park "Ancient Taraz" will become an international tourism brand of the region.
For the first time, Kazakhstan will receive a grand archaeological site for the development of domestic, regional and international tourism. As part of the celebration of the 550th anniversary of the formation of the Kazakh Khanate, only a few objects of the archaeological park "Ancient Taraz" were opened.
