August 24, 1919 - tried to organize an offensive with the aim of breaking through the blockade of the so-called "Cherkasy defense", the troops of the front were defeated, severely wounded in the stomach by fragments of a shell in the battle for the village of Aksu - personally went into the attacking chain.
