Trip from Nukus to Check point "Karakalpakia".

The Tazhen checkpoint is located in the eastern part, on the Kazakh-Uzbek border in the Beineu district, Mangistau region. The Tazhen checkpoint is multilateral, operates 24 hours a day. The Tazhen border passenger-and-freight customs post is located 87 kilometers from Beineu and 557 kilometers from the city of Aktau, the administrative center of the Mangistau region.
On the part of Uzbekistan, the checkpoint is called “Karakalpakia”, also it has the name Dau Ata. Through the Tazhen checkpoint, you can get from the Kazakh cities of Uralsk, Aktobe, Atyrau, Dossor, Aktau, Zhanaozen, Beineu to the Republic of Uzbekistan for tourist attractions of Uzbekistan - to Karakalpakstan, to the Aral Sea, ancient Khiva, ancient Khorezm settlements, to the former port of Muynak which has a cemetery consisting of 11 ships, to the city of Urgench and further to Bukhara, Samarkand and Tashkent.
