Mausoleum (kumbez) ​​Shokai Datka (Shokaya) (Kaz. Shoқai Datқa Kesenesi) - a monument of architecture of Kazakhstan of the XVII - XVIII centuries, erected in honor of the Datka (high title) Shokai. Located in the Sarysu district of the Zhambyl region in the old cemetery on the eastern outskirts of the village of Saudakent.
In 1946, the mausoleum was examined by the Central Kazakhstan Archaeological Expedition of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR A. Kh. Margulan and the expedition of the Institute of Restoration by A. N. Maryashev.
In 1982, the Shokai mausoleum was included in the list of historical and cultural monuments of the Kazakh SSR of republican significance and taken under state protection. The Shakai Datka Mausoleum is one of the most significant historical and architectural monuments of the Seven Rivers, which was also mentioned in the works by the outstanding scientist Ch. Valikhanov.
Located on the outskirts of the necropolis of the medieval city of Saudakent. It is attributed by researchers to the XVII - XVIII centuries. A characteristic type of monumental religious buildings. The mausoleum is a portal-centric structure measuring 8.0 × 4.0 meters in burnt brick with a spherical conic dome on a high faceted drum.
The portal represents has three and four columns on the sides and two turrets on top, covered with irrigation tiles. Inside the mausoleum is a vaulted tombstone - a sarcophagus. The arch of the niche of the entrance aperture has a lancet shape, and along the entrance aperture is rectangular.
On the sides of the arch of the niche of the entrance opening there are deepened decorative niches. In 2017, as a result of the work carried out by the RSE Kazrestavratsiya, the Shakai Datka mausoleum was restored.
The floor tiles that became unusable were replaced, the internal and facing bricks were partially replaced, and waterproofing was carried out. The facing bricks of the Shakai Datka mausoleum were completely replaced and the internal walls were completely plastered. And also, to adjust the internal and external humidity of the foundation, a special system was installed.
