Historical and architectural monuments of Kyzylorda region.

The Bestal-Kala fortress is located 40.2 kilometers to the south-west at the Chirik Rabat settlement and 9.4 kilometers to the south-west at the Kirkireli aul, 29 kilometers from the border with Uzbekistan, in the south of the Zhalagash district of the Kyzylorda region.
From the fortress Bestal-kala in the north-west, 2.2 kilometers away, there is the Orynbai-kala settlement. The Bestal-Kala fortress is located among the sands of Kyzylkum on the left bank of the drying up channel of Zhanadarya.
The southeastern part of the fortress has an oval shape, it is surrounded by a double earth rampart along the entire perimeter, and only the northern part adjacent to the right bank of the Zhanadarya has no ramparts.
The eastern part of the fortress is 401 meters long, the northern one is 384 meters long, and the southern one, rounded and turning into the western part, is 694 meters long. The double walls of the fortress are well preserved.
The entrance to the fortress is clearly visible from the south side.
