Glade Alpingrad.

Top 10 Walks in mountains near Almaty.

They,
Touching the dark blue,
Grew century after century.
They rubbed their backs hard,
And the snow washed their faces."

Walking routes in Ile-Alatau park.

Alpingrad glade is located at an altitude of 3,505 meters, on right slope of Maloalmatinsky gorge in its upper reaches, 375 meters from western part of Lake No. 6 Manshuk Mametova, 1.2 kilometers from right bank of Malaya Almatinka River, 1.5 kilometers southeast of Mynzhylki dam, in Medeu district of Almaty.
From the Mynzhylki tract, which is located in the upper reaches of the Maloalmatinsky gorge, along its eastern part, to the area of the anti-mudflow dam, there is a clearly defined path along the slope to the east, closely approaching the huge rampart of the terminal moraine, blocking the way to the Tuyuku glacier.
At an altitude of 3,505 meters above sea level, an hour's walk from the Mynzhylki tract on the tongue of the moraine is a convenient Alpingrad glade. Near Alpingrad there are the peaks of Amangeldy, Manshuk Mametova, 28 Panfilov Heroes, Pioneer and others, which are conveniently approached from Alpingrad.
The Alpingrad site is intended for placing tent camps during ascents to the nearby peaks in the Maloalmatinskoye Gorge (the upper reaches of the Malaya Almatinka River). From the Alpingrad glade, a panorama opens onto the central part of the Tuyuksu glacier and the Kumbel spur in the west, where the peaks of Lokomotiv, Z. Kosmodemyanskaya (the first woman to be posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union during the Great Patriotic War), Molodezhnaya, Titova are located.
In the Kumbel spur there are three passes: Lokomotiv and Molodezhny, leading to the Kumbelsu gorge, and the Titova pass, leading to the Gorelnik gorge. From the Alpingrad campsite, through the Pioneer and Uchitel passes, you can get to the Bogdanovich glacier, which gives rise to the Sauruksai River, which flows into the Left Talgar River.
The Manshuk Mametova Pass leads to the Left Talgar Gorge on the "Solnechnaya Glade". From the Alpingrad glade, you can climb the peaks of Amangeldy, the Pioneer-Uchitel massif, the Panfilov Heroes (28 Panfilov Guardsmen), Manshuk Mametova, and Antikainen.
Further on, there is the well-known moraine lake No. 6. Above the start of the trail to Alpingrad, between the right slope and the moraines of the Tuyuksu glacier, there are two more campsites - "Tashkent" and "Black Stone". The "Tashkent" campsite is a small, closed grassy area, not blown by the winds.
Therefore, the campsite is warm, like in Tashkent. The "Black Stone" campsite is located higher and is named for the characteristic large dark-colored stone. From these campsites, ascents to the peaks of the Tuyuksu glacier cirque, located in the Malo-Almatinsky spur, are made, or categorized passes are passed in the Malo-Almatinsky spur, south of M. Mametova peak, leading to the Left Talgar gorge.
