The falls in the gorge Barskoon are located in Dzhety-Oguz district of the Issyk-Kul region in Mountains Terskey Ala-Too. The falls are on one of anonymous left inflow of the river Barskoon, in 16 kilometers to the south from the settlement of Barskoon.
Distance of hiking walk from Highway A 364 Barskoon - Kumtor to falls - 1600 meters. Sources of the river on which there are falls begin with a glacier which is to the north from the pass 3745,5 meters high Dzhangykorgon above sea level.
The falls are under the state protection as a nature sanctuary since 1975. Visit of falls is available during different seasons of year. The mountain and forest landscapes surrounding the falls Barskoon are exclusively picturesque and have great ecological value.
