Al Quddus Mosque, located at an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level, is located on western side, 42 meters from main administrative building of Rakhmanovskie Klyuchi sanatorium in Katon-Karagay district of east on East Kazakhstan region on territory of Katon-Karagay natural park.
he mosque is the highest in Kazakhstan. The 15-meter structure is made in the shape of an octahedron, which in Islamic culture is a symbol of prosperity, a sign of the unity and diversity of the world. There are arched windows at the four corners of the mosque, which add lightness to the structure and fill the room with light.
On both sides of the main entrance the building is decorated with 17-meter minarets. The walls of the mosque are lined with red brick combined with figured patterned masonry made of yellow brick, specially brought from Khorezm.
Each brick is painstakingly turned by hand by famous Khorezm craftsmen, fifth-generation mosque builders.
