Moraine, flowing lake West Korzhun is located at an altitude of 3433 m. a. s. l., located in upper reaches of western tributary of river of same name, on southern slope of Dzhungarsky Alatau ridge in Eskeldinsky district of Zhetysu region.

The area of ​​Lake West Korzhun is 34557 meters, the perimeter of the lake is 748 meters. The length of the lake from south to north is 246 meters, the width in the central part of the lake is 190 meters. In the northern part of the lake, 950 meters away, in the glacial cirque there is a glacier with a length of 600 meters.
The lake is located in the lower part of the glacial cirque, in the upper part of which there is a glacier with an area of ​​405596 square meters and a perimeter of 3053 meters. The glacier closes the upper part of the glacial valley. The glacier flows down to the western slope from an unnamed peak 4057 m. a. s. l.
In the southwestern part, at the end of the tongue of the glacier, there is a small moraine lake at an altitude of 3569 m. a. s. l. A stream flows out of the southern part of the lake, which, after 400 meters, flows into a moraine, flowing lower lake, located at an altitude of 3486 m. a. s. l. 
The lake is located in a small, moraine basin, in the west of it there is a valley glacier. The lake is 180 meters long and wide. The area of ​​the glacier is 157,957 square meters. In the eastern, closed part of the glacier there are several small moraine lakes.
A stream flows out of the northeastern part of the lake, which, after 350 meters, falls into the northwestern part of Western Korzhun Lake. From the southern part of Lake West Korzhun, a river flows 8.2 kilometers long, which forms the main channel of the Korzhun River below.
At 3100 meters to the north-west of Lake West Korzhun there is a moraine, flowing lake Korzhun at an altitude of 3368 m. a. s. l.
