Ancient settlement Deu kesken kala.
Group inclusive tour in Turkmenistan.
“For everything in this journey of life we are on, there is a right wing and a left wing: for the wing of love there is anger; for the wing of destiny there is fear; for the wing of pain there is healing; for the wing of hurt there is forgiveness; for the wing of pride there is humility; for the wing of giving there is taking; for the wing of tears there is joy; for the wing of rejection there is acceptance; for the wing of judgment there is grace; for the wing of honor there is shame; for the wing of letting go there is the wing of keeping. We can only fly with two wings and two wings can only stay in the air if there is a balance. Two beautiful wings is perfection. There is a generation of people who idealize perfection as the existence of only one of these wings every time. But I see that a bird with one wing is imperfect. An angel with one wing is imperfect. A butterfly with one wing is dead. So this generation of people strive to always cut off the other wing in the hopes of embodying their ideal of perfection, and in doing so, have created a crippled race”

The settlement Deu Kesken kala is located in the most southwestern part of the southeastern part of the Ustyurt plateau along the southern edge of which the state border between the Republics of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan passes, in the southeastern part of Vala Karabaur located in Uzbekistan, 7.3 kilometers from the right ( northern) bank of the Daryalyk canal, 62.8 kilometers from the eastern coast northeast of Lake Sarykamysh, 13.1 kilometers southwest of the Shamakhi village, 34.6 kilometers southwest of the village named after Saparmurat Turkmenbashi in etrap of Saparmurat Turkmenbashi, Dashoguz region.
The ruins of the town are situated on the steep and high stone plateau surrounded by the deep moat and walls. At the corner of the plateau the remains of a great castle has been found where one could trace the relief of the beautiful cylindrical facades that were typical to the architecture for the early medieval pre-Arabic period. The grandiose settlement Deu Kesken Kala, which is the remnant of the lively medieval city of Vazira, which once stood over one of the Amu Darya canals.
On a steep and high stone plateau rise the ruins of the city, surrounded on two other sides by a deep moat and walls. At the very corner of the plateau are the remains of a grandiose castle, on the muddy massif of which one can trace the relief of the processing of facades with half-cylinders, characteristic of the architecture of the early Middle Ages of the pre-Arab period.
The large city of Wazir apparently lost its significance in the XVIth century. In any case, the ruins of three, so far unnamed, mausoleums made of burnt brick and stone, which can be dated to the XVth century, have survived on the territory of the settlement.
It is known that in the middle of the XVIth century Vazir was still the residence of one of the most influential Khorezm khans - Sultan Ali. However, the sultan's successor transferred the khan's residence to Urgench (now Kunya-Urgench).
This happened in 1573, when the bifurcation (bifurcation of the current) of the waters was observed and when the Amu Darya all went to the Aral Sea.
