The mosaic panels "Cosmos" and "Print" are located on the main facade of the building of the former printing plant on Beibitshilik street, 25. The authors of the mosaic panels are the monumental artists V.I. Tovtin (1935 - 1997) and M.Ya. Antonyuk (1935 - 1993).
The mosaic panels "Print" (left side) and "Cosmos" (right side) were installed in 1972. The main idea and theme of these works is the expression of freedom of speech, press, progress, which have been conveyed to our time by artists, poets, writers - A. Kunanbayuly, S. Kudaiberdyuly, M. Auezov, S. Seyfullin, T. Shevchenko, V. Mayakovsky and other.
Soviet reality is personified by a young man and a girl on the open background of the book, which is the compositional center of the mosaic panel "Print". The composition is completed by the thought “... in the beginning was the word”, which means the letter “A”.
The following panel "Cosmos" embodies the progress of science and technology in the image of a young girl in a national costume. Both panels in their ideological content echo the thoughts and aspirations of our contemporaries, the ideals and ideas of sovereign Kazakhstan.
The works have not lost their ideological and artistic significance, and to this day are an adornment of urban architecture. These panels are highly artistic works of monumental art of the 70s of the XX century, which are of historical and artistic value.
