Gaukhar ana mausoleum.
Central Asia and Shymkent tours.
“For everything in this journey of life we are on, there is a right wing and a left wing: for the wing of love there is anger; for the wing of destiny there is fear; for the wing of pain there is healing; for the wing of hurt there is forgiveness; for the wing of pride there is humility; for the wing of giving there is taking; for the wing of tears there is joy; for the wing of rejection there is acceptance; for the wing of judgment there is grace; for the wing of honor there is shame; for the wing of letting go there is the wing of keeping. We can only fly with two wings and two wings can only stay in the air if there is a balance. Two beautiful wings is perfection. There is a generation of people who idealize perfection as the existence of only one of these wings every time. But I see that a bird with one wing is imperfect. An angel with one wing is imperfect. A butterfly with one wing is dead. So this generation of people strive to always cut off the other wing in the hopes of embodying their ideal of perfection, and in doing so, have created a crippled race”

The Gaukhar ana mausoleum is located 720 meters on the east side of the Turkestan-Shaulder highway, 4.5 kilometers southeast of the city of Turkestan, 13.2 kilometers northeast of the village of Teke, 6.3 kilometers to the north - west of the Shoytobe village, subordinate to the city administration of Turkestan, Turkestan region.
The Gaukhan Ana mausoleum was erected in honor of the daughter of the great poet and thinker Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. At this time, there is no information about the date of birth and death of Gaukhar ana. According to O. Dastanov, who worked for a long time as the chief custodian of the fund, and then as the director of the Azret Sultan Museum-Reserve, and according to folk legends, Gaukhar Ana possessed the gift of a healer, thanks to which she helped many people.
The Gaukhar ana mausoleum was built of baked bricks and in architecture was similar to the mausoleum of Rabia Sultan Begim. An interesting fact is that there is a well near the mausoleum and its water is considered medicinal.
Initially, the mausoleum did not have a roof, it consisted of 4 walls, and there was a structure of 3 rooms for pilgrims nearby. In 2014 - 2015, at the initiative of the Azret Sultan Museum-Reserve and the Kazrestavratsia State University, the Gaukhar Ana mausoleum was re-erected.
Since 1989 it has been included in the register of monuments of the Azret Sultan Museum-Reserve and taken under state protection. In 2011, archaeologists of the museum-reserve conducted an archaeological study, as a result of which material was collected for further research.
The Gaukhar Ana mausoleum is a monument of republican significance.
