"People in love with the Creator have achieved their dreams.
Be careful not to disgrace yourself by pretending to be in love,
Across the bridge named Sirat, which is thinner
And sharper than the blade of a sword, liars will not pass in the next world"
Khikmets of Khoja Ahmed Yasavi.

Underground mosque Beket ata Tobykty is located at an altitude of 19 meters below sea level, in western part of Tobyktyoy valley, 14 kilometers northwest of Kaidak saline land, 34.8 kilometers northeast of village of Tigen, 33.6 kilometers southeast of village of Shebir, in Mangistau district of region of same name.
The monument was carved out on the eastern sector of a hill made of chalk rock, the height of which is about 10 meters. The mosque consists of two rooms. Until 2005, due to natural influences, the ceiling of the first chamber was destroyed, and only the contours of the entrance opening remained.
The second chamber has an oval shape in plan, a light well is cut out on the ceiling. The dimensions of the second chamber are 5 x 3 meters. The interior walls of the rooms are very weathered. In 2005, under the leadership of S. Nazarbekov, restoration work was carried out.
During the works, entrance doors were installed, and support columns made of shell rock were installed inside the premises to stabilize the ceiling. An iron fence was erected around the perimeter of the hill.
