Moraine, flowing Blue Lake Kaskasu, located at an altitude of 3165.4 meters above sea level, is located in the valley of the Kaskasu River on the northern slope of the Kungei Alatau ridge on the territory of the Kolsai Kolderi natural park, in the Kegen district of the Almaty region.
These are the most beautiful lakes of the northern slope of the Kungey Alatau in the Kolsai Kolderi park. The lake has an elongated shape and is directed downward with a length of 290 meters and a width in the southern part of up to 105 meters.
The perimeter of the lake is 534 meters, the area is 13480 square meters. Above the Blue Lake Kaskasu there are four more large and small moraine lakes. One of them is located at an altitude of 3360 meters above sea level, with a length from south-east to north-west 240 meters and a width of 201 meters in the central part.
All lakes are flowing and are connected by the Kkskasu river with each other. 3.1 kilometers southeast of the Blue Lake Kaskasu in the main ridge of the Kungei Alatau ridge is the Burgan-Suu border pass 3755.5 meters above sea level.
The unique blue color adds a truly magical color to natural creation.
