Bust of Altynsarin in Kostanay.
Sculptural monuments of Kostanay.
“When they told me that Count Tolstoy had died and there would be a memorial service, I was so upset that I could not understand: no one would arrange an official memorial service for the writer. We live strangely if the authorities of the people do not always coincide with those of the state. For me, Leo Tolstoy and Fyodor Dostoevsky are holy names.”
