The Kostam mausoleums are located at an altitude of 181 meters above sea level, located between the Kara-Turgai and Zhaksy-Kaiyndy rivers, 510 meters east of the main channel of the Kara-Turgai river, 11.2 kilometers north and slightly west of the village of Zhanakala, in 19.6 kilometers southeast of the village of Kyzylzhuldyz, 13.9 kilometers south and a little east of the village of Kaiyndy, in the territory subordinate to the city administration of the city of Arkalyk, in the southeast of the Kostanay region.
An architectural monument, includes two mausoleums of the brothers Baikozhi and Aikozhi. The monument was built in the late XIX - early XX centuries. According to legend, the mausoleums were built by the master Satybaldy by order of his wife Baikozha.
Both monuments are domed. The base is made of raw brick, the outer and inner sides are lined with burnt bricks. The facade of the monument is U-shaped with patterned lines. The walls are lined with herringbone and figured flat white glazed brick, yellow, blue with a transition to the dome.
The transition of the dome is emphasized by a decorative belt made of raw bricks. Slabs 7 x 7 meters, total height 7.5 meters. In the side facade there is a ladder leading up. Mausoleums of Kostam in 1980 were explored by the expedition of the Ministry of Culture of the Kazakh SSR (headed by Zh. A. Shaiken).
In 1981, restoration work was carried out. Kostam mausoleums are under state protection. The name "Kostam", translated from Kazakh, literally means "paired" or "double" mausoleum, speaks of the similarity of the fates of those who are buried here.
Both brothers were from the Niyaz clan, the descendants of these people erected mazars in honor of their ancestors. The mazar erected for Baigozhi is higher than the Aikozhi mazar.
