The monument to Abulkasim Lakhuti is installed in the northwestern part of the Tajik Academic Drama Theater named after A. Lakhuti along Rudaki Avenue, 86. Monument to the famous Tajik Soviet writer Abulkasim Lakhuti. Abulqasim Lahuti was a political figure.
Born December 4, 1887 in Kirmanshah (Iran) in the family of a shoemaker. Since 1904, he was a fellow of the Masonic lodge of Kirmanshah "Odamiyat". Sent to study in Tehran. Member of the anti-monarchist uprising in Gilan, Resht region. He was awarded the Order of Sattarkhan, who was one of the leaders of the national liberation movement in Iran.
After the defeat of the Iranian Revolution of 1905 - 1911. sentenced to death. Emigrated to Baghdad. In December 1917, when, with the beginning of the withdrawal of Russian troops by the Soviet government and the British occupation of Iran, he emigrated to Istanbul.
Then in Iran he led the second Tabriz uprising, also known as the "Lahuti Khan Rebellion" - the final outbreak of the national democratic movement in Iran in 1920-1921, which arose and developed under the influence of the Great October Socialist Revolution.
After the suppression of the uprising with a detachment of 150 people, he moved to Soviet territory. Lived in Nakhichevan, Tbilisi and Baku. From the beginning of 1923 in Moscow. Employee of the Publishing House of the Peoples of the USSR.
In the middle of 1925 he was sent to work in the Tajik Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. He worked as the head of the department of agitation and propaganda of the Organizing Bureau of the Tajik regional party committee, deputy people's commissar of education.
In 1929 he was a member of the Central Executive Committee of Tajikistan. Since 1931 correspondent of the newspaper "Pravda". One of the organizers of the First Congress of Writers of the Republic, honorary chairman of the Union of Writers of Tajikistan.
In 1945, the author of a poem that became the text of the Anthem of the Tajik SSR. He died on March 16, 1957 in Moscow.
