Monument for establishment of Soviet power in Semirechye.
Memorial monuments of Almaty.
“Only the sum of the obstacles overcome is really the right measure of the feat and the person who accomplished this feat”
Stefan Zweig.
Trip from Almaty to Tokmok.
The monument of monumental art to the fighters for the establishment of Soviet power in Semirechye was erected at the intersection of Pushkin Street and Raiymbek Avenue in 1967, opposite the regional bus station.
The monument in the form of a multi-figured sculptural group was cast from cast iron according to the model of the sculptor N.S. Zhuravlev and is mounted on a pedestal made of polished Kurdish granite (architects I.P. Tokar, B.P. Vororonin).
The height of the monument is 5.1 meters. The composition includes a memorial plaque with the text: "Living will be forever your feat immortal in the hearts of grateful descendants." The monument was dismantled in the summer of 2012 and moved to the square behind the Sary-Arka cinema, not far from the Family park (previously known as the 50th Anniversary of October Park or Fifty).
On December 7, 2012, a monument to Rayymbek was opened in its place.
