Monument "Establishment of Soviet power in Semirechye".

Memorial monuments of Almaty.

“Only the sum of the obstacles overcome is really the right measure of the feat and the person who accomplished this feat”

Stefan Zweig.

Trip from Almaty to Tokmok.

A monument to the fighters for the establishment of Soviet power in Semirechye was erected at the intersection of Pushkin Street and 50th Anniversary of October Avenue in 1967, opposite the regional bus station. Until October 1967, the street was initially known as Tashkentskaya Street along its entire length.
Later, in 1967, it was partially renamed "50th Anniversary of October Avenue" only between Pushkin Street and Aerodromnaya Street (4,650 meters); for the rest of the route, it was known as Tashkentskaya Street (7,800 meters). In 1992, it was renamed in honor of the XVIIIth-century Kazakh batyr, Raimbek.
The monument, a multi-figure sculptural group, was cast in cast iron according to a model by sculptor N.S. Zhuravlev and is installed on a polished Kurdai granite pedestal (architects I.P. Tokar and B.P. Voronin). The monument is 5.1 meters high.
The composition includes a memorial plaque with the text:
"Your immortal feat will live forever in the hearts of grateful descendants."
The monument was dismantled in the summer of 2012 and moved to the park behind the Sary-Arka cinema, not far from Family Park (previously known as "50th Anniversary of October Park" or "Poltinnik"). On December 7, 2012, a monument to the 18th-century Kazakh batyr Raimbek was unveiled in its place.
