Seldara river.

Tours to Tajikistan.

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime”

Mark Twain.

Rafting on the rivers of Tajikistan.

The Seldara River (Tajik. Seldara) - flows through the territory of the Murghab region of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region of Tajikistan. One of the two components of Muksu. The main large tributaries of the Seldara River are the Balyandkiik and Kaindy rivers (both right-handed).
The length of the Seldara River is 19 kilometers. The catchment area is 3290 square kilometers. The number of tributaries less than 10 kilometers long is 11, the total length of which is 21 kilometers. Water consumption in summer reaches 300 cubic meters per second.
It originates from the longest glacier in Eurasia - Fedchenko. In the same area, taking its first and largest right tributary, the Balyandkiik, the river flows in a northern direction. Further, in front of the Zaalayskiy ridge, the river bed changes its direction from north to west, and at an altitude of 2,745 meters above sea level it receives its second largest right tributary, the Kaindy.
Merging with the Sauksa river forms the Muksu river.
