The flowing, dammed lake Verkhnee Allo, located at an altitude of 3380 meters above sea level, is located 2 kilometers south and slightly east of Lake Bolshoye Allo, north of the Gissar ridge and in the eastern part of the Zeravshan ridge, on the southern slope of the Saryob mountains, in the Fanу mountains, in the gorge of the Zindan (Zindon) river in the Penjikent region of the Sughd region.
The length of the lake is 253 meters from the south-east to the north-west, the greatest width in the central part is 139 meters. The perimeter of Lake Verkhnee Allo is 524 meters, the area is 10,445 square meters. From the southeast, a river flows into the lake, originating from the glaciers under the Amshuat peak, 4840.1 meters above sea level, and the Skalnaya wall peak, 4734 meters above sea level.
