The peak Molodaya Gvardiya is located at an altitude of 4398.3 meters above sea level, located in the Maloalmatinsky spur on the northern slope of the Zailiyskiy Alatau ridge, on the territory of the Ile-Alatau park in Bostandyk district of Almaty.
The peak of Molodaya Gvardiya is located north of the Gorodetsky and Dmitriev glaciers between the Maloalmatinsky spur and the ridge of the Zailiysky Alatau ridge. From the top and the western part of the ridge, in which the Molodaya Gvardiya peak is located to the north, a glacier 1.3 kilometers long flows down.
