Obelisk to soldiers who liquidated Chernobyl disaster in Almaty.

Expedition and exclusive tours in Kazakhstan.

"The fourth reactor, called the "Shelter" object, still stores about 200 tons of nuclear materials in its lead-reinforced concrete womb. Moreover, the fuel is partially mixed with graphite and concrete. What is happening to them today, no one knows. The sarcophagus was built hastily, the design is unique, probably the engineers-developers from St. Petersburg can be proud of it. It was supposed to serve for thirty years. However, it was assembled "remotely", the plates were joined with the help of robots and helicopters - hence the cracks. Today, according to some data, the total area of gaps and cracks exceeds 200 square meters, radioactive aerosols continue to escape from them. If the wind blows from the north, then in the south - ash activity: with uranium, plutonium, cesium. Moreover, on a sunny day with the lights off in the reactor hall, pillars of light are visible falling from above. What is this? Rain also penetrates inside. And if moisture gets into the fuel-containing masses, a chain reaction is possible…”
