Talgar mountain pass 3200 meters above sea level is situated between Shkolnik 3800 m. a. s. l. and Chimbulak 3500 m. a. s. l. peaks, in the western branch of Azutau in Malaya Almatinka spur. In the territory of Talgar mountain pass is situated Bogdanovich glacier.
The path in gorge passes through Malyi Talgarsky mountain pass 3000 m. a. s. l.
