Kyzyltam mausoleum.

New tours across Kazakhstan.

“If God does not hear me above -
I will turn my prayers to Satan.
If my desires are displeasing to God -
So, the devil inspires desire in me!"

Omar Khayyam.

Sights of  history of Kazakhstan.

The Kyzyltam mausoleum is located on the necropolis of the same name, 333 meters from the northwestern shore of the Kargalinsk reservoir, 14.4 kilometers southwest of the village of Kasestek, 36.6 kilometers northwest of the village of Badamsha, 57.3 kilometers to the north -east of the city of Aktobe, in the Kargalinsky district in the north of the Aktobe region.
According to legend, the origin of the monument is associated with the history of the unsuccessful matchmaking of the Khiva khan of the early XVIIth century, Arab-Muhammad, to the daughter of one of the Kalmyk leaders.
However, due to a number of architectural and structural features, the monument can be dated to the XVth - XVIth centuries. The Kyzyltam mausoleum is sub-square in plan 6.05 x 6.05 meters. The mausoleum had a double dome, the outer one was probably hipped.
The monument is built of baked bricks. The highest preserved height of the monument is 3.75 meters.
