Mausoleum of Toksana in Ulytau

Toksana Mausoleum is located at an altitude of 336 meters above sea level, in northern part of town cemetery, 5.4 kilometers southeast of town of Zhezkazgan, 6.7 kilometers northeast of Zhezkazgan airport, in Ulytai region.
The Toksana Mausoleum from above looks like a cross-shaped structure. Four domed mazars extend from the central domed room to: northwest, southeast, northeast and southwest. In the northwestern part of the mausoleum, which was built in 1918, there are the graves of two people: Orazaly molda Kayralap uly and Kosherbay bolys Zhamankara uly (1888 - 1961).
In the southwestern part there is a grave: Bayegiz kazhy Tanatar uly. In the north-eastern part of the mausoleum are the graves of: Toksan Zhamankara uly (1890 - 1917) and Bisuli Toksannan anasi.
In the south-eastern part of the mausoleum are the graves of: Temirali Zhamankara uly (1903 - 1958) and Baykozy Kaoamyrza uly.
All buried are from the Tortkara clan, which belongs to the middle zhuz of the Kazakh people. From oral sources it is known that the mausoleums were built by Toksan's brother - Kosherbai, the famous ruler of the current territory of the village of Sarysu.
Toksan's father - Zhamankara was a very rich man and he had about 3,000 horses, and was also in close relations with such famous biys and batyrs as Edige Sandybayuly, Buzau and others.
