River Turgusun (Kazakh Turgusun oseni) originates in east part of the Ivanovskiy ridge on border with Turgusun ridges, is large, deep, right inflow of the river Bukhtarma. Turgusun falls into Bukhtarma in 5 kilometers below the village of Parygino.
The river Turgusun is in the Zyryanovsky Region of East Kazakhstan region. The main of the river is formed from Big and Small Turgusun's merge which, in turn, receive the life after numerous inflows which, generally originate from the thin lakes located in the most mountain part of the Ivanovskiy ridge of the natural boundary Black Uzel.
After Big and Small Turgusun's merge, the river Turgusun receives two left deep inflows which originate in the ridge Holzun, it the river Talovy Turgusun and Narymka. The rivers Talovy Turgusun and Narymka surround, respectively, from the northwest and southeast party the ridge Narym.
On average a current the river Turgusun cuts Ulbinskiy the ridge. At the end of the XIXth century on the river the Turgusunsky hydroelectric power station was constructed, unfortunately, during a strong spring flood of hydroelectric power station took down. In 1932 construction of power plant on the rivers Turgusun was again begun.
In the first day 1936 the Turgusunsky hydroelectric power station gave the first current. Operation of Turgusunsky hydroelectric power station was made till July 15, 1957. After the Bukhtarminsky hyd roelectric power station and the cascade of hydroelectric power station on the Irtysh River in the neighborhood of Ust-Kamenogorsk were put into operation the Turgusunsky hydroelectric power station stopped the existence.
