"The Turkmen and Kyrgyz do not erect magnificent abu (tombs) for their saints (aul), like the batyrs, on the corpse of the saint they pile an ugly pile of stones, throw in camel, horse and ram bones. The remains of sacrifices. They erect a high wooden pole, sometimes topped with a spear ... and that is where the graveside honors for the saint end."

The monument is located near the necropolis of the same name, represented by stone sketches with paired and single steles made of unprocessed stones, the eastern sector is represented by composite kulpytas with koytases and saganatamas.
The dating of the necropolis is the second half of the XVIIIth - early XXth centuries. The mosque is carved out of a sandy-marly layer. Initially, it may have consisted of two rooms. At the moment, the entrance or first room is destroyed. The surviving second room is a carved semi-square structure in plan.
There is no light opening. Judging by the name, one can judge that the monument was built by a person named Temir from the Turkmen clan of Abdal.
Here is how Anatoly Kostenko and Esbol Umirbaev describe Temir Abdal cave:
The "roof" of the cave has almost collapsed, the front part is no longer covered by anything. There was no longer a lintel dividing the front hall into right and left halves. Thus, both halls, where religious services were probably held, disappeared. Only a small cell, carved out of the back wall, remained intact. The book "The Steppes Will Come to Life."
