Igly Tuyuk-Su glacier is located in the side, eastern spur of the Maloalmatinsky gorge, on the northern slope of the Zailiysky Alatau, in the Northern Tien-Shan. Below the crossbar to the tongue of the Tuyuksu glacier from the east is adjacent the Igly Tuyuksu glacier, which is located in the upper reaches of the Maloalmatinsky Gorge.
This glacier is of the valley type and descends to the northwest from the slopes of the ridge of the same name and from the peak of Tuyuksu, 4220 meters high above sea level. Despite the significant steepness of the wall of the glacial circus, it is everywhere covered with snow.
The average height of the rear crests of the glacial circus is 4190 meters above sea level. The glacial circus itself is a short and relatively gentle gorge. The open glacier snout of the glacier has a length of 1.6 kilometers.
The dead ice of the buried part, like that of the Tuyuksu glacier, drops to an altitude of 3200 meters above sea level and is lost in the total buried mass of ice belonging to all the glaciers of the basin.
To the west of the Tuyuksu glacier, on the eastern slope of the Kumbel spur, four glaciers lie – Zoya Kosmodemyanskoy,Molodezhnyi and two hanging (1 and 2).
